Nearly 20 Apply for Peters Superintendent Position

An update on the search for the new head of Peters Township School District.

The search process for a new Peters Township School District superintendent is progressing nicely, according to an e-alert from the district.

Nearly 20 people have applied for the position and another dozen are expected to apply before the application deadline closes.

The search team is reviewing the applications and will be scheduling screening interviews in April. The reviewing will continue to happen as the applications are received until the process concludes, according to the e-alert.

Meantime, information from the 11 focus groups that were conducted is being used to develop a candidate profile and interview questions. The questions will be made public after the interviews have been completed.

The focus groups included school district administrators, staff, students, parents and concerned community members.
