Peters Township Character Counts Awards Announced

Community members were recognized for their outstanding commitment to the ideals of respect, honesty and responsibility.

Peters Township Character Counts awarded 40 students and adults for their outstanding commitment to the ideals of respect, honesty and responsibility.

The special community event on April 30 at Peters Township Middle School was hosted by two members of the Peters Township High School student leadership team, students Rachel Hobbs and Samuel Lindsay.

The event also marked the First Annual Carol Foley Memorial Award, to commemorate community members who are dedicated to building character in our community and will carry on the spirit of the work done by Mrs. Carol Foley, the former Executive Director of the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce who passed away last summer. Linda Webster, owner of Minuteman Press, and Greg Gold, owner of Ace Hardware, were the first recipients of this honor.
