"We are so pleased to have the outstanding achievements of our students recognized on a national level," Peters Middle School (PTMS) Principal Dr. Bob Freado said. "We share this honor with not only our students and current staff but with the entire district, community and the staff members who have contributed over the years to our tradition of excellence in PTMS."

The middle school was recognized among the highest performing public and private schools in the country as measured by their performance on state assessments. A total of 15 schools in Pennsylvania were awarded this honor.
