Middle School Seeking Donations for Toy Drive Benefiting Autism Program

The toys would be used in the development of an autistic support classroom and sensory room at the middle school.

The Peters Township Middle School needs your help with the development of an autism support classroom and sensory classroom for students with autism.

In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, the PTMS student council is collecting used toys—in good condition—for the classrooms, both of which will will be used by students transitioning to the middle school autistic support program in the coming years.

Donations from any age group can include, but are not limited to, toys, puzzles, children's books, coloring books, and other similar items.

Boxes for donation collection will be located in the middle school main office through May 24.

"So use your spring cleaning to clear out unwanted toys and help support students in your school," organizers said in an email.
