Peters Township Named to AP District Honor Roll

This award is presented to school districts across the nation that are able to expand access to advanced placement courses to a more diverse group of learners while simultaneously improving performance.

Peters Township School District has been named to the AP District Honor Roll for 2012 by the College Board. This award is presented each year to districts that are able to expand access to advanced placement courses to a more diverse group of learners while simultaneously improving performance.

Peters Township High School currently offers 18 AP courses and 82 percent of students taking exams in 2012 earned a score of 3 or higher to earn credit at the collegiate level.

In addition, 109 students were named AP scholars earlier this year for their outstanding performance in these exams, including three students who qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. These National AP scholars are Joshua Bowman, Tim Palacios and Jingxu Yang.
