Private Preschool Celebrates Graduation

The Goddard School in Peters Township held its graduation ceremony where two kindergarteners were presented $1,000 savings bond awards.

, located in on East McMurray Road, held a graduation commencement ceremony and celebration last week at . 

In total, 22 kindergarteners and 34 junior kindergarteners were awarded diplomas and participated in the ceremony that included more than 300 attendees. 

Graduating kindergarteners Logan Billingham and Nick Fraioli were each presented $1,000 savings bonds as special recognition awards.

"Our parents and grandparents were in awe of these young students," said preschool co-owner Lori Santo. "They could not believe the children could sing songs in Spanish and perform fluid sign language to lyrics of selected pieces." 

Co-owner Bob Santo said the ceremony is a wonderful tribute to the school's education program and philosophy.

"(It) speaks volumes of how dedicated our teachers are," he said. "It's amazing how much children can learn if you provide them the right environment with educationally-degreed teachers to implement a robust program."
