Staff and Students Produce 'It's a Hockey Night in Pittsburgh'

As part of a high school project, district students and faculty collaborated to create an original song and video.

As Game 7 approaches, Pens fans unite. Songs, parodies and videos have flooded the radio and Internet, and the morale continues. Students and faculty of the Peters Township School District have added an original piece into the mix.

"It's a Hockey Night in Pittsburgh," was produced as part of a project completed by the high school's Media IV Public Relations class

Originally written by high school music teachers Ryan Perrotte and Milton Barney, music teachers Raymond Cygrymus and David DiFilippo also contributed. Cygrymus on vocals; final version mixed by DiFilippo.

The Pittsburgh Penguins gave  permission to use all Mike Lange game calls heard in the song. The video was created, taped and edited by Nicole Sitler's Public and Community Relations class with assistance from Robin Hogin-Frick's Post-Production class.
