Thespians Prepare for Prom Fashion Show

Tickets can be purchased upon entrance to the annual event on Saturday.

Peters Township High School's Thespian Troupe #185 will host its annual Prom Fashion Show on Saturday. Assisted by the PTHS Thespian Backers, the fundraiser also helps benefit the theater program's scholarship fund.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., inviting attendees to shop and peruse the vendor's hallway. Local businesses will be displaying their products, selling and offering discounts on prom-related services. 

Tickets are $5 at the door or can be purchased this week during school lunch periods.

Vendors' items range from prom gowns, tuxedos, hair salons and photography studios to florists, jewelers, and seamstresses and tailors. 

The "Masquerade Ball" fashion show begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The models and escorts are high school students representing various clubs, activities and sports teams.

Fifty gowns and 26 tuxedos will be modeled. 

Patrons' tickets into the show also enters he/she in a prize raffle. Many prizes, including a $250 off of a prom gown from Carrie Ann's Bridal Boutique; a free tuxedo rental from Tuxedo Junction; a lady's corsage from Crossroad Florist; a private makeover and skincare session for 15 guests at Sephora of South Hills Village; dance lessons at Arthur Murray; a pair of 14K silver diamond dangle earrings—valued at $750 from L.J. Marks Jewelers; skin care packages; salon certificates; restaurant gift cards and more.
