Welcome Back, Peters Students!

It's the first day back to school for students! 

Seems like just yesterday I laid out my first-day attire and filled my new, colorful JanSport backpack with all of my favorite things—school supplies, including gel pens, pencils, notebooks and that infamous agenda. 

Times and trends may have changed, but having Mom not far behind on the walk to the bus stop most likely has not.

Weeks before the start of school, I remember the days of waiting for the mailwoman to stop by with that much-anticipated homeroom card so we could all call our friends and exchange homeroom numbers. 

I always enjoyed the first day—meeting new teachers, new friends, seeing the old and familiar, and a fresh start.

The feeling of returning to college, for me, was especially special. There was nothing better than being back on campus with your best friends—all excited for the same reasons: a new year, syllabus week, exchanging summer adventures abroad, house parties and those August birthdays (including mine!).
