Middle School Swim Team Reaches Finish Line Undefeated

Both Peters Township boys and girls teams had first-place finishes last month.

The Peters Township Swim Club would like to congratulate the boys and girls swim teams who wrapped up their seasons last month with first-place finishes at the end of season invitational.  

Additionally, both teams completed undefeated seasons. The teams competed against Bethel Park, Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon and Canon-McMillan. 

The boys team was led throughout the season by Sebastian Yocca and Mitchell Golias.

Michael Kehm, Dimitri Pahountis, Harrison Nix, Jake Rose, Nathan Wang, Alex McKay and Mark Mizikar were also major contributors to the success of the team. 

The girls squad was fronted by Hannah Greguric, Ana O’Brien, Loeva Palu-Benson and Olivia Yocca.

Abbi Strennen and Jess Vierheller contributed some amazing swims to the effort. Stephanie Wang, Elise Dowdall, Kelly Bergman and Megan Black also made major contributions to the team. 

Special congratulations are in order for Hannah Greguric, who broke the middle school record in the 50 fly, which was previously held by Ava Shahdadian for three years! 

It was a great year for both middle school swim teams. 

Coach Fletcher would like to commend all team members and thank the parents who helped with the meets and set up all season!
