Peters Knocks Fox Chapel Out of Playoffs

The Indians have secured the second-place spot in PIHL Class AAA following the team's 6-0 win Monday night.

defeated Fox Chapel 6-0 Monday night in what was a sobering loss for the Foxes, according to the Tribune-Review.

In the last week of PIHL Class AAA regular season playoffs, Fox Chapel outshot the Indians, 10-8, in the first period, according to the newspaper. Peters' Trevor Recktenwald netted the first of his four goals in the first period as well.

Goaltender Jesse Borne was credited with the varsity shut out and Cole Snyder doubled the visitors' lead.

Peters Township is now 15-5-3 and holds the second-place spot in the division. Monday beings the Penguins Cup first-round playoffs.
