Peters Township High School Standout Named Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year

She's the first student in PTHS history to earn this distinction.

Veronica Latsko, of Peters Township High School is the 2012-13 Gatorade Pennsylvania Girls Soccer Player of the Year.

The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field, distinguishes Latsko as Pennsylvania's best high school girls' soccer player.

The 5-foot-8 junior forward led the Indians to a 24-1 record and a third straight Class AAA state title this past season. Latsko scored 40 goals.
