Peters Township Wins 'Pitcher Battle,' Advances to Semis
Peters will face North Allegheny in the WPIAL playoff.
Peters Township High School's softball team advanced to the WPIAL semifinals Monday night, defeating Latrobe 1-0.
The No. 7-seeded Indians will face North Allegheny on Wednesday.
Peters' head coach Bob Bowers called the game a pitchers' battle in the Tribune Review, giving credit to Kellyn Perich who struck out 11.

The only run of the game, according to the newspaper, came in the top of the first inning. Hannah Berardino scored when Carly Konopka singled to center field.
