'Slap Shot' Stars, Local Celebrities Hit the Ice at RMU Sports Center

Take a couple of local paramedics and a few former pro hockey players and what do you get? A great time for a good cause.

The Hanson Brothers, stars of the hockey cult-classic film "Slap Shot" hit the ice last Saturday night at  Island Sports Center, marking the first time the stars skated together in more than a decade.

The film's trio includes real-life brothers Jeff and Steve Carlson along with , who now serves as director of the sports center. They reunited along with a team of Pittsburgh radio and TV personalities and local EMS workers for a charity hockey game. Money raised at the event benefits the Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Foundation.
