Giant Oaks Beautifies Peters Municipal Complex

The season's in bloom as the garden club—now accepting new members—maintains the flower beds surrounding the municipal building and library.

The Giant Oaks Garden Club of recently completed a big project—planting the flower beds in the municipal complex and at .

The flowers—mainly of red and lavender hues—are planted in multiple beds adjacent to the municipal building and at the main entrance of the library.

The club will weed, water and replant, and "chase away deer" to assure the ongoing beauty of its work, a club member said.

Giant Oaks is now accepting new members. Gatherings are planned for the first Thursday of August, September and October at on East McMurray Road. 

On the scheduled days, lunch, a meeting and a speaker starts at 11:15 a.m.
