Get out your tackle boxes and fishing poles—there's a derby coming up.
The McMurray Rotary Club and Peters Township are hosting the upcoming 14th annual event from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 10. at Peters Lake Park.
Sure, fishing is fun—but participants can also win prizes at the event for the whole family.
The person who wins the first fish, the biggest fish and the most fish will win a prize. But even those who aren't fish whisperers will have a chance to get something special.
That's because prizes will also be given to the person who catches the smallest fish.
Children in kindergarten through grade five are invited to participate in the event—where there will also be giveaways throughout the day.
The cost to attend is $5 for residents and $10 for nonresidents.
Into it? Register at the community recreation center.
