It Takes a Village, Help Bring Bella Home

Bella's family misses her very much. Please help to reunite her with her loved ones.

Remember ? She still hasn't been reunited with her family.

Bella is a 2-year-old female black lab mix. She slipped out of her collar more than six weeks ago in the parking lot of on East McMurray Road. Since that time, she has been seen all over , in Bethel Park and even in Upper St. Clair. The locations are often not far from the Montour Trail.

Bella's family misses her very much and is anxious to have her return home safely. With a community as caring and generous as Peters, I know that if we all pull together, we can create a happy ending for Bella and her family.

You may be asking what you can do. Well, here are a few very important contributions that you can make toward this effort:

  • Please be on the lookout for Bella and please be very careful as you are driving. We don't know how street savvy Bella is and she could run out in front of your vehicle.
  • If you see Bella, please contact Peters Patch Editor Andrea Bosco at andrea.bosco@patch.com or at 724-249-7697, so that she can issue a Breaking News Alert regarding Bella's location and contact the owners.
  • Please do not approach Bella! She is very scared and has bolted when someone has tried to get close to her.
  • If anyone has been feeding Bella, please continue to get in touch with Andrea. If we can establish a regular feeding schedule, her owners might be able to be there when she comes to eat next.
  • If you find her in your yard, you may be able to keep her there while you contact Patch and Patch contacts the owners. If you have a dog(s) that she can approach and sniff, or if you have a ball that you can throw and have her retrieve, that works. She loves to spend long periods of time chasing after her ball with her dad.
  • Please spread the word. The more of us that band together to help, the greater our chances of being successful.
