Florida the most stressed state? Now that's funny. When we go to our condo in Naples we are greeted by smiling and sincerely friendly employees in stores and restaurants along with happy unstressed neighbors at our complex. All of them saying how wonderful it is to be there.

The "Patch National Desk" is right about the news popularity. I believe the most blogged or talked about issues is the harm from commercial wind turbines. New England has major issues over megawatt wind turbines, gear boxes failing in the turbines, poor setbacks and major health issues over the poor siting (placement) of these turbines. At least New England must have the most ! Falmouth Massachusetts is ground zero for the poor placement of commercial wind turbines. Litigation has been ongoing since 2010 and now the Town of Falmouth is in litigation within local boards in town. Some day they'll write a movie about wind turbine torture and Falmouth should be the town to film the movie .

I'd like to know where the fire was today fire planes and fire personnel were blazing for over an hour down Grand and planes flying over the Ortegas. I could care what is going on in other states or the Patches most read stories, we rely on the Patch for local news, without it we get nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

Strictly local coverage is the niche that our Mercer Island Patch should focus on. Other places are of little interest and are well- covered in their local Patches, other publication, news sources. JG-

Not sure if anyone from the Scotch Plains area has had any snakes but about two weeks ago when I was cleaning out some old pool cover pieces to put them out for our local cleanup week, I moved two sections of the tarp and two different snakes startled me and squirmed out and disappeared in the ground cover plants nearby. Have seen small snakes in the past but these two were a bit bigger (not too big) and they did startle me. Susan Feyerabend
