JCC Offering Free Prostate Screenings

Register before now to be screened on Tuesday morning.

The Obediah Cole Foundation and Allegheny County Health Department are teaming up to offer free prostate screenings for men next week.

The organizations are offering the prostate-specific antigen blood test for free at the . Men interested in the screening must pre-register before the testing begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

“We’re pretty happy to be working with the Obediah Cole Foundation,” saild Gilbert, who works with at JCC.

The JCC offer other various health events during the year and that include blood-pressure screenings and cholesterol tests.

The Obediah Cole Foundation provides information about Prostate Cancer, which it said affects about 230,000 men a year. The foundation is aimed at spreading awareness of and raising funds to fight prostate cancer.
