Welcome New Neighbors, Meet Old Ones at PTNN Kick-Off Night

RSVPs are being accepted.

Interested in welcoming new residents to Peters Township? How about meeting some longtime ones?

Peters Township Newcomers and Neighbors (PTNN), a 48-year-old nonprofit social and civic organization that welcomes new residents to Peters and gathers existing neighbors, will hold its annual fall kick-off event at the Rolling Hills Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m.

"This is a fun ladies night out event to meet new neighbors, make new friends, win lots of prizes and learn about all of the fun activities PTNN offers," according to a news release. "We offer everything from book clubs, a Bunco group, children's playgroup, wine tastings, couples socials, luncheon excursions, as well as holiday parties. We also dedicate our time, talents and money to help our local community."

You can learn more about the kick-off event here.

In years past, the PTNN has collected items for the Avis Arbor Women's Shelter, raised money for the American Cancer Society by forming a Relay For Life team, sang Christmas carols at a local nursing home, supported the Washington City Mission and made financial donations to the Peters Township Food Pantry, The Watchful Shepherd and Peters Township Fire Department.

To RSVP for the kick-off event—it's free, and you may bring a friend—email Susy Coughenour at esusyc@yahoo.com or call her at 412-398-6074. You can also RSVP via an e-vite. To get on the e-vite mailing list, click here. Event organizers ask that you please try to RSVP by Sept. 5.

There will be complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cake available at the event as well as a cash bar that will sell soft and hard drinks. You may want to bring cash for a chance to win one of the night's raffles, too.

PTNN membership dues cost $30 per year, but everyone that chooses to pay dues during the kick-off event will be entered into a drawing for a free membership. There will be two winners that night—one returning member and one new member.

Membership is for women only.
