Thespians Prepare for Prom Fashion Show

Tickets can be purchased upon entrance to the annual event on Saturday.

Peters Township High School's Thespian Troupe #185 will host its annual Prom Fashion Show on Saturday. Assisted by the PTHS Thespian Backers, the fundraiser also helps benefit the theater program's scholarship fund. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., inviting attendees to shop and peruse the vendor's hallway. Local businesses will be displaying their products, selling and offering discounts on prom-related services.  Tickets are $5 at the door or can be purchased this week during school lunch periods. Vendors' items range from prom gowns, tuxedos, hair salons and photography studios to florists, jewelers, and seamstresses and tailors.  The "Masquerade Ball" fashion show begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Peters Business and Nonprofit Present ‘Dancing for a Cause’

Local celebrities, such as Rose Tennant and Athena Sarris, will 'dance for a cause' in Station Square—an event presented by Arthur Murray Dance Studio and Watchful Shepherd USA.

Stars will be out when local celebrities, hometown heroes and concerned citizens gather to raise funds to help fight child abuse. “Dancing for a Cause” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at the Sheraton Station Square. The event will offer food, entertainment and dancing, with all proceeds benefiting Watchful Shepherd USA and its mission to prevent child abuse.
