A lovestruck Sewickley man delivers an elaborate marriage proposal Saturday to his unexpecting girlfriend.
Joey Lancianese and Alex DeLoia had dinner plans on Saturday evening. Little did she know, her boyfriend had something much more elaborate planned outside the restaurant. “I wanted to surprise her," Lancianese said. Lancianese, 25, a Canton, Ohio native now living in Sewickley, said he originally wanted to propose on an upcoming trip to Las Vegas, but decided he didn't want to wait until Labor Day. But while most men spend time stressing over the right ring or the perfect restaurant, Lancianese kicked up his marriage proposal a notch and organized a flash mob. “It felt like it was perfect," he said afterward. Fathers and daughters gear up to enjoy a special evening together close to home.
For fathers and daughters, it may seem like there is never enough time in the day to spend together. Fortunately, the Community Recreation Center will be hosting a very special evening Feb. 4 for fathers and daughters -- The Princess Ball. The event includes everything from professional photos, to a buffet-style catered dinner, to dancing the night away under Valentine-themed decorations to the musical styling of Peters Township’s own, DJ Zini. The Princess Ball is open to any little princess in the Peters and surrounding areas (though precedence is given to Peters residents). Couples are not limited to father and daughter only -- granddaughters and grandfathers, uncles and nieces, stepfathers, godfathers and so on, are all equally welcome…
