Peters Township and the surrounding area is under a freeze warning from 1 to 8 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service predicts temperatures may dip into the 20s overnight. Meteorologists warn that unprotected outdoor plants will likely be damaged or killed, so cover the plants and bring potted plants indoors. The temperature is expected to rise throughout the week. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the region that runs through 9 a.m. Monday.
With temperatures expected to dip into the lower 30s overnight and into Monday morning, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the area. "High pressure will allow temperatures to drop below freezing during the early morning hours of Monday," the NWS indicated on its website. "Uncovered plants will likely be impacted." The agency also indicated that the freezing temperatures could also affect exterior plumbing fixtures. But on the brighter (and warmer side), it is expected to be sunny with a high near 56 in the afternoon.

Flowers and plants have started to bloom, but they could freeze Monday night.
Brr! Those daffodils look pretty in front of Peters Township Public Library, but they could freeze overnight. A freeze warning will be in effect in the Peters Township area from 10 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s, causing a hard freeze—and a big change over what local folks have experienced over the past two weeks. "A hard freeze means temperatures will be colder than 28 degrees for at least (three) hours," the National Weather Service website indicated.
