Planning to head to Downtown Pittsburgh Friday for Light-Up Night? How about Saturday for the Sounds of the Season Parade or other daylong holiday activities planned throughout the Golden Triangle? Here are schedules and transportation details you'll want to keep in mind. Pittsburgh's 52nd annual Light-Up Night begins at noon Friday, when Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl lights the tree at the City-County Building on Grant Street. Also set for noon: the annual dedication and blessing of the traditional Christmas creche at U.S. Steel Tower on Grant Street. Norman Centre is holding a Light Up Night celebration on Thursday, Nov. 15.
Celebrate Light Up Night a night early this year! Norman Centre in Bethel Park is holding its first annual Light Up Night celebration from 5 to 8 tonight, Nov. 15. There will be holiday music, refreshments and a special appearance by Santa Claus in the Pier 1 Imports parking lot. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift to contribute to a Children's Hospital toy drive. The 52nd Annual Light Up Night in downtown Pittsburgh is Friday, Nov. 16.
