Peters Township Planning Director Ed Zuk said Monday a building permit has been approved.
Many Peters Township residents have been asking about a popular Mexican food chain and when it's moving into the community. Peters Township Planning Director Ed Zuk said Monday a building permit for Chipotle Mexican Grill in the 3800 block of Washington Road has been approved. He confirmed in January that the restaurant would be the second tenant in the new building—along with MedExpress. Zuk said the 2,400 square-foot grill will be constructed soon. Spa green walls and great lighting fill Peters Township’s newest medical center. The 4,500 square-foot facility opened to the public Thursday. The day prior, a grand-opening celebration was held. Hors d’oeuvres were served and walk-through tours were provided. It was an exciting day for MedExpress; the company was “having twins”—the Bluefield, VA and McMurray locations were opening simultaneously as the 76th and 77th locations. “We’re excited. This location is great; we have centers on both sides in Washington and Upper St. Clair,” said area manager Dave Neely. The center has 12 rooms, including an X-Ray suite, a room solely for splinting and a room for an extended stay—i.e. a few hours—equipped for administering intravenous fluids. Peters…

Having become somewhat of a medical mecca, Peters Township welcomes its newest medical center, MedExpress. The fully-staffed center will be located in the newly-constructed building at the corner of Route 19 and W. McMurray Road—the 3800 block of Washington Road, next to the new PNC Bank. It will be open 12 hours a day, seven days a week—9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Peters Township Planning Director Ed Zuk confirmed the 4,500 square-foot medical center will open in late January.
