Popular Pittsburgh Pizzeria Applies to Open Restaurant in Peters

An old bank would be renovated.

The owner of Fiori's Pizza and Italian Restaurant in Brookline has applied with Peters Township to open a new restaurant on Route 19. Owner Fiorentino Moscutiello is asking for council to approve a conditional use to renovate the former Parkvale Saving Bank at 3801 Washington Rd. into a sit-down Italian restaurant.  The plan calls for enclosing two drive-thru tell lanes, turning the former bank lobby into the main dining area, making two former offices a kids' area for birthday parties and other functions and creating a Wi-Fi lounge.  The restaurant is proposing to operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the week and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the weekend. The restaurant would seat 100 customers and no delivery would be available.

I absolutely LOVE Aladdin's. I have been taking my kids to the Mt. Lebanon location since I discovered it about a year ago. I loved it so much that I put it on the Happy Cow app. The restaurant has a huge menu to please both the carnivores and the vegans and vegetarians in the family. The restaurant uses fresh wholesome ingredients and the food is light and delicious. I am so glad to see a …   more ›

Peters Township Planning Director Ed Zuk said Monday a building permit has been approved.

Many Peters Township residents have been asking about a popular Mexican food chain and when it's moving into the community. Peters Township Planning Director Ed Zuk said Monday a building permit for Chipotle Mexican Grill in the 3800 block of Washington Road has been approved. He confirmed in January that the restaurant would be the second tenant in the new building—along with MedExpress.  Zuk said the 2,400 square-foot grill will be constructed soon.  "It is my understanding work on Chipotle is starting this week," he said Monday.
