Local Teachers Performing Concert to Support Anti-Bullying Message

No Tune Left Behind will perform a special one-hour concert Wednesday at the Peters Township Library.

The Peters Township Public Library will welcome local band NTLB—or No Tune Left Behind—at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a special one-hour concert to support the movement to stop bullying. The band will be joined by officers from the Peters Township Police Department, with Chief Harry Fruecht kicking off the event by reading an anti-bullying pledge. Those attending can take the pledge to stop bullying and sign a large banner with the same message. The evening will continue with a performance by NTLB while their videos play on a large screen in the main lobby. McMurray Elementary PTA Hosts Tradition with McMurray Kick-Off Night

Students and families gathered on school grounds for a welcome event filled with fun activities!

Thursday evening, the grounds of McMurray Elementary School filled with students, their families and teachers for the annual McMurray Kick-Off Night, sponsored by the PTA. A tradition hosted by the school staff members, McMurray Kick-Off Night welcomes back students in 5th- and 6th- grade, and encourages 4th-graders to meet and greet their new classmates and upperclassmen. Peters Township Youth Cheerleaders cheered the teachers and staff into the event, which included activities such as football toss, the High Striker, ping-pong toss and a duck pond.  Of the most popular attractions were caricature artists, Clarence Butler and Jeff Harris—author of the Observer-Reporter newspaper’s “Shortcuts”—and a tattoo artist staffed by Mike the …
