Help Dori Lose Weight, Find New Home

Dori is a 6 year old, 43-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi looking for a new home. Her owners surrendered her to the Animal Rescue League because she was chasing the cats and herding them around the house. They acquired her from relatives who were leaving her outside with no shelter or water. And they were feeding her people food for the past five years—and that's why she weights 43 pounds and not 25. Dori is on a special diet now, and she has already lost 10 pounds. She likes to pretend she's a lapdog, even though she's still a little plump. She likes to play with other dogs, but she needs a no cat household. Dori is great with well-mannered children, though she might try to herd them by nipping at their heels.
