The Flower Studio a Sweet Addition to the South Hills
Providing 'dessert bars' of flowers for school dances and cakes made of flowers for birthdays, The Flower Studio allows customers to be creative and unique.
Custom, custom, custom—that's what The Flower Studio is all about, according to owners Bob and Cindy Parknavy. The studio set up a "dessert bar" of flowers, bracelets, gems, ribbons and even butterflies for Upper St. Clair High School students to customize their corsages and boutonnières for the Homecoming dance. They hope to provide the same service before other local school dances. Designers also create birthday cakes made of flowers—delivered in a cake box with candles. "It's calorie free!" Cindy said. "What a great thing for people who can't have cake," Bob said. Bob and Cindy opened The Flower Studio in Crossgates Plaza on the corner of Washington and Fort Couch roads in May, and they are now busily preparing for their first holiday …
