Peters School Board Presented With Certificate of Appreciation
The school board and district were thanked Tuesday night.
Phil Hobbs, co-chair of Relay for Life of Peters Township, presented the Peters Township School Board and district administrators with a certificate of appreciation Tuesday night. The district allows Relay for Life organizers to use the high school's track for the annual event and helps with logistics, according to Hobbs. Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society where communities come together to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease. The fundraiser encourages cancer survivors, patients, medical support staff, corporations, civic organizations, churches and community volunteers to participate to raise money for research.
