Cheerleader Car Wash Raises Cold Cash on a Hot Day

Peters Township High School cheerleaders raise money with a car wash.

It was a sunny summer day when the Peters Township High School cheerleaders grabbed some buckets and sponges and opened a car wash, right next to the Bruster’s on Valley Brook Road. The girls, in their cheerleading outfits, hoisted banners above their heads at the crossroads of Valley Brook and East McMurray Road, to convince motorists to stop by for a car wash. They waved and smiled at each car passing by. A patron getting his car washed also received a freshly squeezed glass of lemonade, as sweet and sunny as the girl’s disposition at the event. The fundraiser is one of several the cheerleaders will hold this year. They are also taking donations for corporate sponsorship. Sponsors are encouraged to join the PTHS Cheerleading Booster Club…
