South Hills Village shoppers might get to see a fun surprise Sunday. South Park Middle School students are scheduled to break out in a dance routine between 2 and 4:30 p.m. on the lower level near the entrance of the soon-to-be-opening Target. The impromptu dance is part of the students' Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. The performance is for students to pledge to stand up to bullying. Whole Foods, townhomes and more are part of a master plan for the corner of Route 19 and Fort Couch Road.
A master plan for 1800 Washington Rd., the former Consol Energy headquarters site on the corner of Route 19 and Fort Couch Road, has been submitted to Upper St. Clair Township officials for final approval. A Whole Foods Market is planned along Route 19. More than half of the parking would be underground along with all the deliveries and trash processing to minimize noise, according to developer Gerard Cipriani. Townhomes are tucked in the back of the development, closest to Fort Couch Road, according to the submitted drawings. The townhomes would target empty nesters. The third planned structure is a shopping center that would have three types of tenants—retail, restaurant and office—in a two-level structure, which is about the same height…

Bonefish Grill South Hills officially opens today. The restaurant—next to South Hills Village—specializes in market fresh fish cooked over a wood-burning grill. You may have seen the restaurant's parking lot packed this weekend. Friday was Friends and Family Night and Saturday was Charity Night. The address is 1835 Washington Rd. and the hours are Monday through Thursday, 4 to 10:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 4 to 11:30 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The phone number is 412-835-3239. Upper St. Clair commissioners approved the construction of the restaurant in May and an outdoor dining area in October. The restaurant employs about 100 people. The popular accessory brand will open in the spring.
Vera Bradley is coming to South Hills Village. The store known for its quilted handbags will open in the spring on the lower level south wing. The store will also feature luggage, totes, and desk and cell phone accessories. Also coming to South Hills Village this year, Bonefish Grill opens on Jan. 14 and Target opens on March 10. “It is so exciting to begin the new year with the opening of these new shopping and dining attractions for the South Hills community,” stated Jennifer Carroll, South Hills Village marketing director. “These new retailers will be key destinations for our customers and are just the first in 2013 to be added to the already-impressive list of shops and eateries at South Hills Village.” What do you think about the …

The Target store in Upper St. Clair is opening March 10, 2013. Target officials are looking for hourly team leaders and team members for the new store that attached to South Hills Village. The new restaurant is opening in January.
The new Bonefish Grill is currently hiring. The restaurant in nearby Upper St. Clair will open on Jan. 14 and it needs 100 employees. Applications are being accepted for various positions including angler, host and kitchen staff. The applications are available online or in-person at the new location—1835 Washington Rd.—next to South Hills Village.

Some malls have special hours to accommodate returns and sales.
To accommodate seasonal sales and the returns of items purchased, many Pittsburgh-area shopping malls will have special hours of operation for the week following Christmas Day, while some malls will simply revert back to their regular schedules. See below for a list of area malls and their hours from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1. Also, see if those malls will keep their children's ride-along trains up after Christmas. The public is invited to preview the restaurant and its menu.
Bonefish Grill will officially open on Monday, Jan. 14. However, the public is invited to a grand opening Charity Night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12. A $35 donation provides two drinks and a full tasting of the menu. All of the proceeds will benefit United Way of Allegheny County. RSVP is required as only limited amount of seats are available.
