Police from Peters, North Strabane and Cecil townships and state police were reportedy at the scene, and some of the officers are armed with assault rifles, according to the report. But the Peters Township Fire Department posted on its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon that the report of a shooting was a "hoax." Peters police told the Observer-Reporter that when the homeowner arrived, he told officers tat a female relative left him a voicemail that she was going to make such a call in order to cause the family inconvenience.
