Peters Township Council is waiting a little longer to fill five vacancies on the municipality’s youth commission.

Peters Township Council is waiting a little longer to fill five vacancies on the municipality’s youth commission. The council members have interviewed nine of the 10 candidates and want to wait until the process is over. There are five openings on the youth commission. The interview process began two months ago, and officials are confident they will conduct the final interview before the next meeting. “I think we would appreciate a little more time to think about it and review some of the documentation that they supplied,” Chairman Frank Arcuri said during the council’s Monday night voting meeting. It's been a rainy day, and somewhat of a rainy voter turnout at the polls. As of 3 p.m., Peters Creek Presbyterian Church reported nearly 120 B-1 residents who had cast their votes. If you're voting post-workday, look for a red coupon at the sign-in tables. Then, stop by Farmhouse Coffee for 15 percent off one item of your choice (primary day only).
