Peters Appoints Three to Youth Commission

Peters Township Council on Monday night voted to appoint three new members to its Youth Commission. Find out who are the new members!

Peters Township Council on Monday night voted to appoint three new members to its Youth Commission. The council selected Kelly Rogers Bootman, Raymond Hsieh and Jamison Hardy to three of the five open slots on the commission. Bootman’s term expires in 2014; Hsieh’s term is up in 2015; and Hardy’s seat is up in 2016. There are still two more positions open on the nine-person board, but it’s not known if the council plans to fill those seats or keep the commission at its current size. The council members interviewed 10 candidates over several months.

Peters Township Council is waiting a little longer to fill five vacancies on the municipality’s youth commission.

Peters Township Council is waiting a little longer to fill five vacancies on the municipality’s youth commission. The council members have interviewed nine of the 10 candidates and want to wait until the process is over. There are five openings on the youth commission. The interview process began two months ago, and officials are confident they will conduct the final interview before the next meeting. “I think we would appreciate a little more time to think about it and review some of the documentation that they supplied,” Chairman Frank Arcuri said during the council’s Monday night voting meeting.
