Peters Outpatient Center Welcomes New Doctor

Dr. Victor Prisk is also an NCAA All-American gymnast, and a frequent guest on both local and national television and radio programs discussing the benefits of sports nutrition.

Canonsburg General Hospital welcomes Dr. Victor Prisk to the Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Institute at its Outpatient Care Center in Peters Township. Prisk, an NCAA All-American gymnast from Iowa State University and Michigan State University, graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. During his fellowship training, Prisk specialized in dance medicine and sports foot and ankle surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.   Prisk has worked closely with the NYC Ballet, American Ballet Theater, The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and the University of Pittsburgh …

A leading esophageal disease specialist is serving and accepting new patients at Peters Township's Outpatient Care Center.

Canonsburg General Hospital (CGH) has welcomed one of the country’s leading specialists in esophageal disease, surgeon Blair Anderson Jobe, MD, to its medical and surgical staff.   He will be seeing patients at the West Penn Allegheny Health System's Outpatient Care Center in Peters Township. New CEO of Canonsburg General Hospital Named

Congratulations to Terry Wiltrout, who was named to the position Friday.

West Penn Allegheny Health System on Friday announced the appointment of Terry Wiltrout as chief executive officer at Canonsburg General Hospital. The appointment is effective immediately. Wiltrout has served as interim CEO at the hospital since June. Wiltrout, 39, officially joined Canonsburg’s leadership team in 2002 and was named the hospital’s vice president of operations in 2007. He began his career with the West Penn Allegheny Health System in 1991 as a computer operator. Debbie DeMarco was honored with Canonsburg General Hospital's 2011 Tradition of Caring Award.

Debbie DeMarco, of the Nutritional Services Department at Canonsburg General Hospital, was awarded the 2011 Tradition of Caring Award in October. Terry Wiltrout Named Hospital Interim CEO

Canonsburg General Hospital vice president of operations now serves as interim chief executive officer following Kim Malinky’s retirement.

Hospital officials appointed current vice president of operations, Terry Wiltrout, as Canonsburg General Hospital’s interim chief executive officer just one week after current CEO and President Kim Malinky announced her retirement. Wiltrout has served as vice president of operations since 2007 and officially joined the hospital’s leadership team in 2003. In 1991, he commenced his career as a computer operator with West Penn Allegheny Health System.  As an active member of the McMurray Rotary and the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce, among many community organizations, he most recently led an outstanding project in Peters as the lead executive overseeing the development of West Penn Allegheny‘s new Outpatient Care Center off of Route 19…

Outpatient Care Center Cafe Now Open

And it isn't just for patients—all are welcome to stop in for coffee, snacks or a little relaxation time.

Janis Finn said it’s a fact: Most people can be a little anxious when they have to deal with medical issues. That’s one reason having a café at the Outpatient Care Center was so imperative, she said. “Our goal was to help alleviate all that—to help people be calm at a time when they are maybe a little more nervous,” Finn, director of the Peters Township facility said Monday—the first day the café was open for business. Located right as you walk through the doors, the café is complete with tables and chairs next to a wall of windows, providing plenty of natural sunlight. Save the Date: Health Awareness Event to Be Held May 7

Residents can rely on accurate medical services and a chance to experience the new neighborhood facility, the Outpatient Care Center.

May 7 is the set date for an educational health awareness event hosted by the McMurray Rotary Club (MRC) and Canonsburg General Hospital (CGH) at the new Outpatient Care Center, located on Route 19. Originally founded by Gene Rusnock of Pennsylvania Automated Services in Jeannette, Pa., this beneficial project -- held semi-annually, formerly in the Peters Township High School cafeteria for the past 25 years -- offers affordable medical tests administered by various medical practitioners, with results promptly mailed to each participant's residence.
