The new traffic signal at Center Church and East McMurray roads is scheduled to become fully operational at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20. The work is part of an improvment project at the intersection. McMurray Road is being widened to provide right and left turning lanes at the intersection of South Center Church Road and a left turn lane at the intersection of North Center Church Road. Peters Township residents will soon be enjoying a wider and safer intersection of East McMurray and Center Church roads. East McMurray Road will be widened to provide right and left turning lanes at the intersection of South Center Church Road, and a left turn lane at the intersection of North Center Church Road. Will the Bebout overpass be completed before the Center Church project begins? I certainly hope so! They have been talking about the Center Church project for well over 5 years now. I think traffic at that intersection has well over doubled since the original plan was made.
