More than 20 restaurants will be participating this year in the fundraiser for Peters Township Public Library from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, April 19 at Valley Brook Country Club. Nearly 400 attendees and 26 food vendors gathered Friday night in Peters Township for what was the most successful Taste of the Township to date—an event in its 11th year.
With nearly 400 Peters Township—and nearby—residents in attendance, the 11th annual Taste of the Township on Friday night was a huge success. Peters Township Public Library committee Chairman Harry Verlato reported that the event made more than $41,000, the highest total earned in its history. The food selection featured a record 26 vendors that donated their signature dishes and servers to benefit the library. “We even had to turn a few away this year because we were out of room,” said Margaret Verlato, library board member and committee vice chairwoman. Tickets are on sale now for the 11th annual "Taste of the Township." A staple in the Peters Township community, the event's proceeds benefit the Peters Township Public Library. It's a fun night of food, festivities and mingling with township officials, friends and neighbors.
