Rick Starr, Neighbor

Rick is a former college and high school sports writer for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and the former sports editor of the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum, where he served as Steelers beat writer for 19 seasons and covered Pittsburgh victories in Super Bowls XIII, XIV, and XL. He has won numerous national and local writing awards from The Associated Press, Pennsylvania Newspapers Publishers Association, Gannett Corp., and the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. He is the former sports editor of the Daily Collegian at Penn State, where he majored in journalism.
