Peters Township School Board Accepts Resignations, Hires New Staff

The Peters Township School Board on Monday made a series of personnel moves that included accepting resignations and hiring new staff members.

The board accepted the resignations of the following:

  • Patrick Maloy from his position of director of technology. His resignation becomes effective Sunday.
  • Joyce Dransite, cafeteria and playground monitor for Bower Hill Elementary. Her resignation was effective June 7.
  • Gary Nagy, parking lot attendant at the high school. His resignation will be effective Aug. 30.
The board also hired the following:
  • Tracy Bidoli was hired as the assistant supervisor of building, grounds and transportation. Her salary has been set at $45,000. Her first day is Tuesday.
  • Darcy Cheek was hired as a part-time paraprofessional at the middle school. She will earn $15.22 per hour next year. She is replacing Lisa Harrison.
The board also approved the following changes:
  • Larry Ansell was changed from splitting time between teaching technology education and social studies at the high school to just being a technology teacher.
  • Marlina DeFelice was changed from splitting time teaching music at both the middle school and McMurray Elementary School to being a music teacher districtwide.
School directors also voted to change the following teachers from temporary to permanent employees.
  • Courtney Blackhurst, of the high school
  • Heather Bonano, of the high school
  • John Good, of the high school
  • Yasmin Ingham, of the high school
  • Bianca Barnabei, of the middle school
  • Anna DeCario, of McMurray Elementary
  • Marlina DeFelice, of McMurray Elementary
  • Nicole Makrinos, of McMurray Elementary
